Microsoft Excel is a very effective tool when
dealing with data and reporting. Its built-in functionalities allow user to
build a custom information system, ranging from a simple to a complex one. By
applying design thinking method and system approach, users can segmentize the
three fundamental layers of a system which are known as input, process and output
separately in MS Excel workbook. With this segmentation, then an
automated report can be generated easily once the data are been updated.
